PRIZE The first runner-up will be awarded the symbolic “Chiara Rigione” prize Plaque and honorable mention, dissemination of the work in the circuits of the Zeugma collective, in honor of the Italian independent filmmaker who died prematurely in 2023.
Death and Rebirth of the Landscape
LANDSCAPE2024, now in its fourth year, is an international call for sound and video artists to reflect on the theme of landscape through the submission of experimental works.
In an era of rapid environmental and social change, landscape assumes a role of primary importance as a place of memory, identity and connection with nature. The call aims to explore the different facets of the contemporary landscape, interrogating its changing nature and multiple implications.
The 10 works selected by our selection committee will be disseminated within the activities set up by the partners of the call

2. Themes
Proposed works should explore the theme of landscape in a broad sense, including but not limited to:
Natural and man-made landscapes: the dichotomy between nature and culture, human impact on the environment, urban and territorial regeneration.
Sound and visual landscapes: landscape perception through the senses, memory and imagination, construction of new landscape aesthetics.
Real and imaginary landscapes: the relationship between man and the environment, the construction of identities and cultures linked to the territory, the dreamlike and symbolic dimension of the landscape.
Landscapes in transformation: the evolution of landscape over time, the impact of climate change, environmental and social sustainability

Video works of any genre and style are welcome, as long as they are original and consistent with the theme. Works can be created using any technique or instrument, including digital video, animation, archival footage, and experimental video. Always remember that “audio” is the focus.
